North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department: Land and Water Conservation Fund

This program provides support for the acquisition and development of public land to meet the needs of North Dakotans and their communities for outdoor recreation and open space.

Examples of funded projects include playgrounds and ball fields; trails for walking and hiking; parks for camping and picnicking; and access to lakes and rivers for swimming, fishing, and boating.

The application deadline is November 1, 2010.
