Central Coast Community Energy: Community Education and Workforce Grant Program

Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE) serves Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties and parts of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties in California.

Through the Community Education and Workforce Grant Program, CCCE is providing support to organizations for projects and/or programs that advance electrification.

CCCE invites proposals that advance specific and measurable outcomes in the following categories:

  • Education and Awareness
By increasing public knowledge about the concept of electrification and its benefits, grant recipients will help address barriers that impact participation in CCCE Energy Programs. Increased electrification will reduce regional greenhouse gas emissions while supporting the growth and adoption of clean energy technologies.

  • Workforce Training and Development
By providing workforce education, training, and development, grant recipients will address gaps in local training and development that slow the advancement of electrification in the building and/or transportation sectors. Training topics include but are not limited to the following topics: design, codes and standards, equipment/appliance installation, and engineering.

Community-based organizations, private for-profit businesses, public agencies, and schools or school districts are eligible to apply. Grants up to $100,000 will be provided.

CCCE is especially interested in receiving proposals that focus on providing resources to underserved, disadvantaged, and/or at-promise communities.
