Our website is our promise and that’s why we’re always working to make our website the best it can be. In the past year we’ve added many improvements to make life easier for our Members. And in this article I’d like to take a few minutes to talk about some of those improvements.
The Dashboard
The year began with the rollout of the Dashboard, which allows GrantStation Members to save grantmaker profiles (to view later) and commonly used searches (to run again later) to their personal dashboard. These features save Members a great deal of time when looking for funding. Members also now have the ability to create projects and plans in their dashboard to help them plan their grantseeking efforts more comprehensively.
Since the launch of this feature at the end of 2018 we’ve already added new functionality to the dashboard. Included in these updates is a new Courses tab that displays any on demand courses purchased, giving people easy access to them. Another useful update to the dashboard is the ability to add private grantmakers. Since GrantStation only lists grantmakers who accept unsolicited requests from a variety of organizations this is a useful feature for Members working with grantmakers not in our database. (Only the Member who adds these funders can view them.)
Online Learning
But we didn’t just stop at the Dashboard! Throughout this year we’ve been improving our increasingly popular online learning offerings. We added a plethora of new webinars and workshops that have engaged and excited Members and non-Members alike. The number of people taking our live webinars and workshops is at an all-time high and still growing. This is because we only produce the highest-quality live webinars with the most current knowledge and the best presenters.
Along with our webinars, we expanded our offerings in online learning to include On Demand Courses. This is a very exciting development as it allows both Members and non-Members to purchase full courses for the same price as a webinar and learn entirely at their own pace. Right now there are two courses on our site but many more will be added in the coming months.
Search Enhancements
And finally, we released several powerful enhancements to our already popular and powerful search tools. Improvements include an enhanced interface that loads search results dynamically as well as search speed improvements. We also added new filters to the Canadian and International searches so they are more in line with what’s available in our U.S. Charitable search. And finally we added direct links to the IRS 990s for most of our U.S. Charitable funders and those are available in each funder profile.
