The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) National Committee of the Netherlands, the Dutch national committee of the IUCN, seeks to safeguard nature as the basis for all life.

The Land Acquisition Fund provides funding to:

• acquire (through purchase or lease) threatened nature;
• create safe reserves; and,
• connect wildlife habitats for endangered species.

Local conservation non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations working in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific with relevant experience are eligible to apply.
