AI 101: A Beginner's Workshop for Grant Professionals 
This workshop is the perfect starting point for those new to the world of AI. You’ll develop a solid foundation for using AI tools so you’re confident using them to save time and streamline your nonprofit work. 

You’ll learn:

  • the AI tools to consider, along with their strengths and weaknesses;
  • how to set up an account and communicate effectively with ChatGPT;
  • how to maintain privacy when using AI; 
  • the first prompts to use when getting started; 
  • how to edit grant proposals using AI;  
  • how to generate an executive summary and letter of inquiry from previous proposals; and,
  • a roadmap to follow to develop experience using AI.

AI 201: Advanced Strategies for Grant Professionals
The second workshop will dive deeper into the strategic use of AI in crafting effective proposals.

You’ll learn: 

  • a roadmap to follow in order to further develop experience using AI; 
  • how to generate first drafts of grant proposals based on pre-created grant templates;
  • how to experiment with role-playing scenarios where AI adopts the persona of a grant reviewer or a potential funder;
  • how to use AI as a collaborative tool in the grantwriting process;
  • how to get started with other AI tools beyond ChatGPT, such as Grantable, Gemini, Claude.AI, and Perplexity; and,
  • how to build custom GPTs for specific tasks. 

Through practical demonstrations and hands-on guidance, you'll acquire the skills needed to enhance your grantwriting using AI.
