Harley-Davidson Foundation

The Harley-Davidson Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in communities with company facilities, including Yucca and Mohave County, AZ; Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte counties, KS; Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray counties, and Kansas City, MO; Valley View, OH; York, PA; and Gleason, Merrill, Milwaukee, Nokomis, Prentice, Rhinelander, Spirit, and Tomahawk, WI.

The Foundation targets areas of greatest need among underserved populations to enhance the quality of life in company communities.

The Foundation's primary areas of interest include the following:

Education
The focus is on the following:

  • employment programs;
  • core curriculum;
  • academic enhancers; and,
  • arts education.

Note: The Foundation primarily funds education programs within the public school systems.

Health
The focus is on the following:

  • basic needs such as food and clothing;
  • health support services;
  • public health; and,
  • wellness education.

Environment
The focus is on the following:

  • economic development;
  • neighborhood revitalization;
  • environmental education;
  • sustainability; and,
  • conservation.

    The company provides support through monetary grants, table/event sponsorships, and merchandise donations. 

    Grants are not made to/for:

    • endowment funds;
    • individuals;
    • political activities;
    • conferences or capital campaigns;
    • athletic teams; or,
    • religious organizations, unless they are engaged in a major project benefiting the greater community.
