Cynthia Adams has been dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations identify and secure the funding they need to do their good work for well over 40 years. Cynthia founded GrantStation because she believes that grantseeking requires a thorough understanding of the funders and sound knowledge of the philanthropic playing field. Her life's work has been to level that playing field, creating opportunities for all nonprofit organizations, regardless of size or geographic location, to secure grant support.

Sage Adams
Information and Learning Technology Specialist

Sage is GrantStation’s lead programmer for the website and is in charge of all functionality and development. He works with the Licensing Program and many other projects. Sage has over ten years' experience building websites as well as online and hybrid courses at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks; the University of California, Berkeley; and as an independent consultant.

Jill Cochran

Jill assists in all facets of GrantStation’s internal and external marketing programs. She earned a Social Marketing Certification and maintains our social media accounts, manages our Partner Depot program, and assists in marketing. Jill has worked in libraries, and has over 15 years of experience in digital and print media advertising.

Kerry works in our U.S. Charitable Giving Database, updating the information and researching new funders. She is currently attending Oregon State University’s environmental science program and she volunteers part-time with the U.S. Geological Survey.

Diana Holder

Diana works in our International Charitable Giving Database and writes the monthly International Insider newsletter. She also manages content for the Pathfinder website and she edits The State of Grantseeking ™ Reports. Diana holds an M.A. in English, with a specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador where she worked to organize rural women's groups and promote civic participation.

Julie Kaufman

As Research Director, Julie spends countless hours with her team of researchers poring through publications, delving deeply into online philanthropic resources, and talking directly with grantmakers to develop and maintain thousands of national and international funder profiles for the U.S. Charitable Giving Database and the International Charitable Giving Database. Julie also researches and writes the weekly GrantStation Insider. She has volunteered for literacy and cultural organizations, as well as education programs for returning women students.

Sara Kennedy

Sara serves as our Director of Online Education and is responsible for managing GrantStation webinars. In the past, she worked with the Veterans Administration as a research assistant for over a decade.

Tracy Lease

Tracy works in our U.S. Charitable Giving Database as well as the International Charitable Giving Database, making sure the information in our funder profiles is accurate and timely. Tracy also sends out advanced updates, requesting foundation feedback on funder profiles. Tracy has volunteered and worked for nonprofit domestic violence shelters as a women and children’s advocate and a volunteer coordinator. During college Tracy studied rural development in Senegal.

Ellen is on the board of Music for Everyone, and is active in the fight against puppy mills.

David serves as Director of Member Services, managing the GrantStation customer service process, Membership systems, and various projects. David’s work experience includes Lutheran Brotherhood Financial Services, Best Buy, and North Country Grocery Cooperative. He is involved with voter issues and works with Minneapolis elections.
