2017 was a year of activism. The women’s movement grabbed headlines globally with #MeToo and the Women’s March. Black Lives Matter continued working towards racial justice and freedom from violence. Even scientists got into the mix with the March for Science. If you work in the nonprofit field, it’s likely that you also became more mobilized to achieve your organization’s mission. How can you keep up this momentum? What are the most effective ways to bring your vision to reality? To help you in this quest, we’ve compiled a list of six conferences geared towards accelerating social change, presented in chronological order.
Tracks to Success
The Annie E. Casey Foundation has been working to promote the well-being of America’s children for more than 60 years. So the Foundation was among the funders that came to mind when GrantStation decided to explore issues related to poverty following our most recent State of Grantseeking survey.
Learning or reviewing the basic steps to writing stellar grant requests, then taking that information and weaving it into an overall grant strategy to fund your program, project, or organization is key to winning awards. This is truly one of the best webinars I have ever attended. If you measured "learning per minute" this one pegged the needle. I think I must be the exact audience for this. I know how to put data in charts and graphs but always lament that I can't make anything "pretty." I'm so happy that I sat in. There was a point during the session where I was thinking that I wanted to start playing with charts and graphs right away. I will see if my organization will pay for the upcoming webinar series - I feel like this put a new skillset in reach for me. Thank you!
