Nonprofits face growing challenges in securing sustainable funding, managing resource constraints, and finding innovative ways to maximize their social impact. As traditional fundraising methods become less predictable, many organizations are exploring alternative approaches to generating revenue.

Social enterprises offer a promising solution by blending business principles with mission-driven goals, providing the opportunity to create income while advancing a specific cause.

In this webinar, social entrepreneur Mindy Muller will challenge you to explore how income-generating activities can be a powerful tool for driving social change. You’ll gain practical insights into weighing the pros and cons of starting a social enterprise, along with actionable steps to get started. Drawing from her own experiences, Mindy will share key principles for developing a social enterprise within a nonprofit or creating a new mission-driven business.

In this session, you will:

  • gain a clear understanding of the concepts of social enterprise and entrepreneurship;
  • discover strategies to enhance organizational impact through income-generating activities; and,
  • learn how to effectively plan and take the next steps in launching a social enterprise.

You’ll leave with a clear roadmap for navigating the process of starting a mission-focused business.

This training is appropriate for nonprofits considering raising money through social enterprise as well as people interested in launching a mission-driven business.
