"Connecting our Members with the Right Grantmakers since 1999."
The Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR) gives voice to people at the frontlines of conflict and transition to help them drive change.
IWPR offers funding through calls for applications with varying themes and geographic scopes.
The current call for applications, Building Resilience in the Eastern Neighbourhood, supports:
civil society and women's rights organizations in Moldova, in light of the difficulties endured amid the war in Ukraine, to advance their role in conflict prevention, community reconciliation, and relief and recovery, and to equip them with additional skills to increase participation in the government decision-making process;
civil society organizations and women’s rights organizations in Moldova to prioritize and protect progress on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in central and local governments in Moldova;
civil society, women’s rights, and LGBTQI+ organizations from Georgia to improve the legal frameworks and protection of rights of LGBTQI+ groups and ethnic and religious minorities in Georgia; and,
- the participation of civil society and women’s rights organizations in the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in Armenia.
A recent call provided small grants for investigative reporting projects in the South Caucasus, Moldova, and Ukraine with the aim of exploring the threats posed by disinformation and propaganda in Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries, especially in light of the war in Ukraine.
Application guidelines are available in the Engage section of the IWPR website when there is an open request for applications.
