Priority will be given to racially and ethnically diverse leaders, with an emphasis on Black, Latinx, and Indigenous leaders. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations or organizations with a fiscal sponsor, be led by a social entrepreneur, have been in operation at least two years, and be early-stage, but not seed-stage. New Profit will accept calls for interest through December 7, 2022, from organizations seeking to confirm their eligibility or to learn more about this opportunity. Applications will be accepted from December 8, 2022, through January 13, 2023. Visit the New Profit website to read more.

The gifts came in the form of massive, unrestricted grants, with a significant proportion targeted to organizations focused on issues of equity. A new report by The Center for Effective Philanthropy called Giving Big: The Impact of Large, Unrestricted Gifts on Nonprofits reveals the results from year one of a three-year study of MacKenzie Scott's giving.

Unless otherwise noted, all Online Education Trainings are webinars,
are 90 minutes in duration, and are scheduled to begin at 2 PM Eastern Time.

Evidence-Based Practices for Your Programs and Projects
Donors and funders naturally want to support programs "that work." So how can you build vital credibility with funders and donors? Demonstrate that your organization's approach to a problem is guided by research. During this TargetED, Alice Ruhnke will help you learn how to identify and select evidence-based practices that can be effective for your programs and projects and ultimately lead to more funding. You will have the opportunity to ask Alice questions about evidence-based practices so you walk away with a working knowledge of the varying levels of research that define different practices and the resources needed to find them independently. The webinar will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Inside the Grantmaker's Black Box
If you're like 98% of grantseekers, you've never seen the entire grants review and decision-making process in action, from start to finish. Which means you probably don't understand what really goes on after a proposal vanishes inside the grantmaker's black box. But what if you could hop inside a real-life grantmaker's decision-making process and get an up-close look at what goes on? What if you had an insider's view of the in-the-trenches challenges, stresses, frustrations, surprises, internal timelines, and twists and turns the grantmaking team experiences at each step of the way, as it works hard to invest this year's grant dollars wisely and well? Can you imagine how the insights and takeaways from this experience might give you an edge in your own grants success? During this webinar, Maryn Boess will take you through an actual grants review and decision-making process which awarded a total of $600,000. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

(FREE) Polish Your Grant Applications for 2023
With the competitive nature of proposal writing, nonprofit organizations often ask, "How can I make my grant applications stand out in a crowded field?" This is a great question as your time is valuable, and you want to maximize your efforts in putting strong proposals together. During this 60-minute webinar, Alice Ruhnke, President of GrantStation, will pull apart ten concepts that you can incorporate into your proposal development and writing strategies that will make your grant applications get positive attention from funders. We will also have time to answer some of your burning questions—you don't want to miss out on this free event! The webinar will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022.

An Introduction to Our Member Service Representative, Nancy Vargo

I began working for GrantStation in 2020 as the Member Service Representative. I had recently retired after working for a large corporate company for 30 years, managing projects and executive metric reporting. The incredible opportunity to work at GrantStation ended my short-lived retirement.

You may have heard from me after you sent us an email or called our number. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about using GrantStation or attending our webinars. I also help with administering our Membership programs. When I have extra time, I assist the research team with reviewing funder profiles. If you have any questions, please contact us at 877-784-7268 or info@grantstation.com.
