Welcome to the Alaska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals! We are here to provide ongoing education and support to YOU, development professionals, all across non-profits in Alaska. Our theme of "Celebrate, Educate, Collaborate" is guiding our efforts to help you do your jobs more effectively and efficiently.
Celebrate: This year in 2017, our chapter turns the big 3-0! And your thirties are awesome. So here's to celebrating our profession together.
Educate: Continuous learning is our daily world of trying new things, tracking data, and learning from our work. And AFP is here to provide that learning through our monthly Lunch & Learn programs, webinars, National Philanthropy Conference and more. Plug in and keep up with the latest best practices to make our work even more rewarding both to our organizations and ourselves. New this year we introduce AFP PM (Philanthropy Matters) - a group of professionals who get together to discuss the tough topics that arise in our work. If you have 3+ years experience and want to take your learning to the next level, come join this group of CFREs!
Collaborate: We can't do our jobs alone! We need each other - across various organizations, sectors, professions, and industries. This year AFP Alaska Chapter focuses on advocating for philanthropy to our Alaska community.
Our fun group of AFP Alaska Chapter board members has many years of experience to share with you. Get to know them here and reach out with any questions you may have about membership or job related questions.
And we are a star chapter! In 2016, the AFP Alaska Chapter was honored with the designation of "Friends of Diversity" and "Ten Star Gold" by AFP International. Only 34 of the 241 chapters throughout the world achieved this recognition!
As a community of inclusion, the AFP Alaska Chapter seeks, embraces, and engages diverse individuals, groups, and organizations with a broad representation of experiences, perspectives, thoughts and cultures within the fundraising profession.
There is lots going on! Visit the event calendar for a schedule of upcoming events and registration information.
