Leadership for America’s Education Foundations
The National School Foundation Association (NSFA) is the leader of the Pre-K-12 education foundation movement in the United States, providing training and support for their development and quest to increase student success through strategic philanthropic investment and involvement.
Across the country, declining resources and soaring costs leave students, teacher and schools without the resources they need to succeed. In approximately 4,000 of the nation’s 12,000 public school districts, community members have banded together to form education foundations, a highly effective conduit through which the community can invest in our children and their future.
Created in 2002 through a federal grant, the current National School Foundation Association formed 2008, actively connecting, supporting and leading the education foundation movement. More than 800 foundations have joined our ranks as members, connecting with a nationwide network and gaining access to national best practice standards, customized training, certification and career advancement opportunities. Our organization has trained hundreds of foundation executives and volunteer leaders on program management, successful fundraising and community engagement and have helped countless communities form education foundations.
Every day, the local education foundation movement becomes more critical to sustaining and improving our schools. Connect to the Education Foundation movement. Learn more, join, donate at www.schoolfoundations.org.
