Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation (YSEDC)
Building the capacity of local nonprofits is an investment in the effectiveness and future sustainability of local nonprofits to reduce poverty, homelessness, and unemployment, which supports the overall mission of YSEDC to create a region that is sustainable, diverse, and a great place to live, work, and play. Nonprofit organizations (NPOs) play an important role in delivering social services to those in need.
Capacity-building efforts for NPOs should increase NPOs’ effectiveness and address problems associated with limited administrative and organizational capacity. YSEDC’s aim is to enhance NPO functioning and ultimately improve client outcomes.
