The mission of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) is to strengthen the nonprofit community through advocacy, public awareness, and capacity building. MNN is a statewide organization that brings together all parts of the nonprofit ecosystem in Massachusetts - nonprofits, funders, community and business leaders, and elected officials - to strengthen nonprofits and raise the sector’s voice on critical issues.
MNN understands that the work of the nonprofit sector impacts every resident of Massachusetts. The state’s more than 38,000 nonprofits educate, keep Massachusetts healthy, support its most vulnerable populations, and care for its cultural, historical, and environmental treasures. They are a critical economic engine generating more than 548,000 jobs and employing over 17% of the state’s workforce.
MNN has more than 700 nonprofit members from every region of the Commonwealth. MNN is made up of nonprofits from eight sub-sectors: Arts and Culture; Education and Youth; Environment; Health; Housing and Community Development; Human Rights; Human Services; and Philanthropy. MNN’s members have budgets ranging from under $250,000 to over $100 million, and the range of causes and constituents served is just as wide.
MNN has more than 100 for-profit affiliate members provide goods and services that support nonprofits and assist them in meeting their organizational missions in the most effective and efficient way possible
